Traditional learning programmes are less effective at encompassing this
whole process than a programme incorporating experiential learning. Experiential
learning reinforces the understanding and belief and reinforces commitment
through practice.
A typical programme will follow these stages:
- Understanding current behavioural preferences and the working situation
through team role preference, and team climate analysis
- Understanding the current strengths of the team, and examples of when
the team has most closely approached the effective outcomes they desire
- Through solving active challenges delegates will model and practice their
development behaviours
- Expert facilitation will guide further development and prompt strategies
for ensuring that learning is integrated into working practices
- Continued coaching to reinforce performance development and practice
